    you can do this very easily….Find a menu by the name “Featured Slider” and click add new sub menu, just like you create normal post and in this add an image via upload/insert media
    Note: try to add an image in the slider of size 980X240 px.If you need more images in the slider than Add more of these posts with image…. do ping me if you need further assisstance. well thnx for appreciating our theme…

      The image is a sub menu from “Home”… ????

    Also if you want to change text on the image than write some text in the post of type “Featured Slider ” along with the image…you can also configure some of the settings via theme settings panel (Appearance >> Redify) You will find the image slides along with the text on the black strip …..

      Yay cool, I totally missed that featured slider menu. And you answered my next question regarding px size. Is it possible to remove the black strip?

        July 7, 2012 at 8:34 pm

        yes u can but you need to change one parameter in javascript file by the name “jquery.nivo.slider.pack.js” in the themes js folder ..open this file and search the keyword “defaults” only once and you will find number of parameters here, out these, your required parameter is “captionOpacity” just change the value from .8 to 0 … and all done….

    Awesome – I cannot imagine anything else people could want in the theme.

    I really enjoy how lite weight Redify is. While premium themes are nice they are often so over bloated your load time is already cut in half the minute you install one, and if you are on a slow server to begin with you really do take a hit not only in load time but even in getting Googlebot to index your site

    Slow loading pages don’t get indexed and show up as errors on the crawl report. Redify is not over bloated ans so loads very fast providing the user doesn’t sabotage it with a bunch of un-necessary plugins.

    Love the theme … but i have 2 questions ..
    1. is it possible to change the colour of a post/page header to match the colour of the text in the pose itself. if you change text colout, the header text looks too dark
    2. You can change thje
    main title colour … but the sub-heading/strapline doesn’t change as well.

      August 7, 2012 at 7:34 am

      well thanks for reminding me this small bug actually on the blog page settings for the header color works but the same color setting on the post page is not working…Will remove this bug in the next release..Thnx

    you want to add more slides to it than create more post of type featured slider and automatically it will gets added to the Homepage slider…. and also check the Appearance >> Redify >> HomePage Slider >> Slide enteries option……
    you can also add more text along with the image in the featured post types in order to display that text on the black strip….

    you mean to say that adding couple of images in a featured slider and only single image gets displayed ….?
    well if this was the case you got to create couple of featured slider post each having single image in it ..and both the images will gets displayed in the slider and yah regular type of post are totally different from featured type of post …all the featured post types are linked to slider…so if you are using normal post type than that post will not be used by featured slider….

Audrey

Hi !
Very beautiful theme. Thank you. Excuse my English.
If I choose the ” Static ” homepage in the personalization of Redify, the slider does not work any more.. Is it normal?

    admin

    July 18, 2012 at 8:43 am

    yes its normal.. because the slider works in the blog pages and you are making static page as front page… thats y no slider will be displayed in the static page

Hi,

I am trying to use a static page for our cover. Whenever I go to the Reading setting to set the static page the slider disappears.

When I change it back to show latest posts (as opposed to static page) the slider returns.

Is there any way to have the slider appear on the static page?

Thanks!

Hi,
I’m new to WordPress. I have been doing some playing around with Redify and have a few questions:
1) I can’t figure out how to make bullets show on published pages. I have the following in the html:

blah blah

I have looked into style.css but not sure what to change to fix this.

2) How can I accomplish the following:
I would like to have the homepage be one of the pages I have created and not the “Recent Posts” page which is the default.

FB

July 24, 2012 at 4:44 am

Hi there,

I have a couple more questions:
– How do I check the current photos used in the Feature Slider and how do I replace them? I went to the Feature Slider menu but there are no current posts. I tried adding a new posting and uploading an image but it did nothing.

– How can I make each post appear without the “Posted by..” line on top and the “Posted in (category)” line at the bottom?

Many thanks!

I absolutely love the Redify WordPress theme. Since I installed the theme, my staff and I have to hit enter twice between each paragraph or the paragraphs all run together. Is this a known issue with Redify or do I need to tweak the settings in some way (or css) to correct this issue? Thanks for a great theme.

    admin

    July 25, 2012 at 6:10 pm

    Hey
    Thanks for identifying this bug …Just a small piece of tweaking is required to overcome this..

      Katrina Rasbold

      July 25, 2012 at 7:51 pm

      Fantastic! Can you tell me what I can tweak to fix that issue?

        admin

        July 26, 2012 at 5:58 pm

        for this you got to make 3 to 4 styling chages in style.css file
        1. line 618 add style “margin-bottom:0px;”
        2. line 1801 i.e class name ‘p15’ add style “margin-bottom:0px”
        3.line 370 i.e class name ‘smalltext’ add style “margin-bottom:0px”
        4. Add new style rule in style.css “p {
        margin-bottom: 1.625em;
        }”

          Katrina Rasbold

          July 26, 2012 at 8:06 pm

          Awesome. Thank you so much for the tweak. That makes this a perfect theme!

Hi!

Thank you for a nice and challenging theme.
I was wondering if you could help me with the pages in the navigation bar? I want to hide the privacy, terms and disclaimer and I’m a bit new with the theme. My site is : http://www.earnmoneyonline.canopp.com

and I was wondering if you could make a sort of wiki for the theme so that it would be easy to find solutions to basic tweaking of the theme as I know you would be busy fixing any problems with the theme and other stuff.

thanks for your time.

Hi there,

Firstly, I love this theme. It’s nicely done!

I’m new to PHP and would like to modify the Contact Us page to have more fields such as phone number. I have been playing around with contactus.php but nothing is actually happening. I’ve added the following code snippets in the appropriate places:

:
<!—->
<input type="text" name="yourphone" id="yourphone" rows="1" value="”>

as well as:

if($_POST[‘yourphone’]==”)
{
$flag=0;

echo “Please Enter Your Phone”;
}

(I’m not concerned about the regular expressions yet for for the correct phone number input)

At this point I would just like to see the additional field.
Would I have to modify code any where else to be able to see the phone number field?

    If u want to add extra fields in the contact us page than its better to use plugin instead of writing an additional code in the themes contact us template ,
    u will find number of plugins in WordPress.org and thanx for using our theme
