Display subpages as dropdown on main menu

Dear Webriti team,

Under the main menu page “Bloga” of my website I’ve got a subpage called “glosarioak” and under that subpage I’ve got some more subpages.
When clicking on “Bloga” I would like the menu to display as dropdown all the subpages that are under. How can I do that?

You can test it yourself here: https://www.berme.eus/

Thanks in advance!!

  • Hi @garazioe

    For this, we have to customize the code. So go to WordPress theme directory >>js >> menu >> open menu.js , in that
    file you need to delete the code from line no. 212 to 143 & paste the code in it from this link:https://pastebin.com/suBbQLwz

    Let me know did it work.

    Thanks
  • Hi Rajkamal,

    Thanks for your quick reply. One question, when landing on the theme directory, what do I have to do? (I don’t know what JS means).

    Thanks in advance,

    Garazi
  • Hi @garazioe

    For this, you need to edit in a file.
    Just edit in the file  line no 121 to 122 add below code please follow as shown in this screenshot step by step: https://prnt.sc/mya1nn
    /*replace code*/
    jQuery('.navbar-custom .navbar-nav > li.dropdown').hover(function() {
    var jQuerythis = jQuery('li.dropdown'');
    /*replace code*/

    Let me know if any confusion. Follow simple above steps carefully or if want you can share your admin login details to add this change at our end. ( Email Address: [email protected] )

    Let me know did it work.

    Thanks

  • Hi Rajkamal,

    Thanks for your detailed explanation, it worked fine :)

    However, there’s a tiny problem with the viewing of the menu. The dropdown menu of the main menu works just as it should but it does not adapt to the screen and so part of the dropdown menu stays out of the screen zone. What can I do to fix that?

    Thanks!

    Garazi
  • HI @garazioe

    Please replace below code at the same place line no. 121 to 122

    /*replace code*/
    jQuery('.navbar-custom .navbar-nav > li.dropdown').hover(function() {
    var jQuerythis = jQuery('li.dropdown');
    /*replace code*/

    Also send snapshot of the  menu stays out of the screen zone

    Thanks
