  • Hi siddkhar

    IF you want to change the background image in category archive page then add the below css code in custom css box.

    .archive.category .page-title-section {
        padding: 15px 0;
    }
    .archive.category #wrapper {
        background-color: transparent;
    }
    .archive.category{
    background-size: cover;
    }
    .archive.category .sidebar .widget {
        background-color: transparent;
    }

    Let me know did it work.

    Thanks
  • Thanks, I used the first part of the code to change the background behind the title. Works great.

    I didnt use the rest of the code because it makes the site look a bit garish... Is there any way I can just change the background to a different color OR Picture? (while at the same time keeping the squares where the posts are listed white - Please see attached picture?

    Thanks for all your help!

  • Hi siddkhar

    OK if you want to like the screenshot then add the below css code in custom css box.

    #section-block {
        background-color: #a6a3a3;
    }
    .site-content .news {
        background-color: #ffffff;
    }

    Let me know did it work.

    Thanks
  • No.. This changes the background in too many places... I just want to be able to change the color of the space AROUND the excerpt boxes ONLY on the category page.

    Its okay if its not possible.

  • Remove the above comment css code and add the below css code.

    .archive.category #section-block {
        background-color: #a6a3a3;
    }
    .archive.category .site-content .news {
        background-color: #ffffff;
    }

    Let me know did it work.

    Thanks
  • it works almost well, but... See attached screenshot... the space between two excerpts is still gray... (Please see the space where the red mark is)

  • Hi siddkhar

    IF you want to gray color b/w two posts then remove the above css code and add the below css code.

    .archive.category #section-block {
        background-color: #a6a3a3;
    }
    .archive.category .site-content .news .post {
        background-color: #fff;
    }

    Let me know did it work.

    Thanks
  • Wow! this works! thanks.
    Is there any possibility I can use a picture instead of a color?
