Create multiple portfolio pages showing separate categories

Hi,

I'd like to create multiple portfolio pages (for example using the portfolio-4-col template), where each pages shows different portfolio categories.

For example I created the following categories:
  • Fuel cars
  • Electric cars
  • Hybrid cars
  • Powerboats
  • Sailing boats

From the website menu I want to link to two pages:
  1. Page 1 (Cars) - Only show categories Fuel Cars, Electric Cars and Hybrid Cars
  2. Page 2 (Boats) - Only show categories Powerboats and Sailing boats

Currently when I create two separate pages using the portfolio-4-col template they both show all categories.

  • HI

We can not  show  portfolio item post of multiple category  in single page .

But We can show all the post in single page template .  (That you have used  for example using the portfolio-4-col template ) .
    Or
We can also show each category item in single page .

So  assign all respective post that is you want to show in Page 1 (Cars) Category .
And assign portfolio post you want to show in  Boats category .

Then go to menu and find the   portfolio category tab .
Then Add portfolio  category to menu .
More  help see the snapshot .

Let me know for further assistance .

    Thanks

  • Hi Akhilesh,

I already tried what you describe, but the single page then shows the standard WordPress portfolio template. But, I like to use the portfolio-4-col template from your theme instead.

Please see attached image for what I'm trying to get. Can you explain step by step how to create this with your theme?

    Thanks
    Ed
