Post comments not working

Hi Webriti,

I'm running wordpress 4.4.2 with Rambo-Pro.

I'm not able to add comments to posts (unless I'm logged in as admin - this works fine). I fill in all the comment fields (mandatory and non-mandatory) and I get the error:

"ERROR: please enter a valid email address."

If I just fill in the mandatory fields (name & comment) I get the error

"ERROR: please fill the required fields (name, email). "

Thanks Evan

    Hi

Its is working fine at our end .
It may be you have changed into the default wordpresss settings .
    Check
In Settings->Discussion, is the field Comment author must fill out name and e-mailchecked ?

And also deactivate all plugin one by one and check your issue resolve or not .

For more help refer  this  link .

Let me know for further assistance .

    Thanks
    Akhilesh
  • Hi Akhilesh,

I used the exact same settings as you provided in the link but still cannot post a comment.

So then what I did is uncheck the "Comment author must fill out name and email" setting. After this I can submit comments but the email provided does not get delivered to me.

It seems to me the behaviour I'm seeing is very similar, if not identical, to that described in the prior issue you've linked in above. So I had a look at my plugins and deactivated them but it made no difference. Same behaviour.

Any other suggestions? Should I be checking any base wordpress files?
    Thanks
    Evan
